Refuge Mountain Ranch Announces $150,000 Matching Gift Challenge to Launch Christ-Centered Home and School for Girls

December 5, 2025
Refuge Mountain Ranch, a Christ-centered home and school dedicated to providing healing, safety, and hope for girls in need, has announced a generous $150,000 matching gift challenge that could unlock a total of $450,000 to fully launch its 2026 program.

This week, Refuge Mountain Ranch leaders walked through the new girls home—currently under construction—on the ministry’s 350-acre mountain property. According to Ben Riegsecker, Executive Director of Refuge Mountain Ranch, the progress unfolding on site is nothing short of miraculous.

“Standing inside the newly renovated girls home and seeing what God is building here fills me with hope,” Riegsecker said. “Every time we step onto this property, we’re reminded that this place is holy ground—set apart for the work God is preparing to do in the lives of these girls.”

The mission of the Ranch began more than two years ago, rooted in a desire to create a safe, Christ-centered environment for girls who have experienced trauma, instability, and hardship. Over the past two years, the team has renovated homes, restored land, prepared classrooms, and prayed faithfully for the girls who will soon arrive.

“We’ve seen God move in extraordinary ways,” Riegsecker said. “Miracle upon miracle has brought us to this point. Doors have opened in ways only He could orchestrate. But we know this is just the beginning.”

Now, one of those miracles comes in the form of a transformational matching gift. A generous donor has contributed $150,000 and challenged the Ranch to raise an additional $150,000 by December 31. If met, the donor will match the amount dollar for dollar and add another $150,000, turning community support into a total of $450,000.

According to Riegsecker, this funding will get the program funded and allow the Ranch to operate throughout 2026.

“This matching challenge is a tremendous opportunity,” he said. “Every gift—large or small—will be doubled. Your giving will help create a place where girls can heal, grow, and discover who God created them to be.”

Refuge Mountain Ranch is encouraging supporters, churches, and partners across the region to participate in the year-end challenge and help bring the Ranch to completion.

“We’ve hired start-up staff members, developed the educational programming, built the spaces, and prayed over every inch of this mountain,” Riegsecker added. “Now we’re inviting the community to join us in finishing what God has started.”
